Being that i am, in fact, 1/2 Irish... I wanted to do a post in honor of St. Patrick's Day. Let's take a minute to look at some of the world's most influential Irishmen, and Ireland's contributions to the world thus far...
Ireland is filled with Castles. In Ireland you can find such castles as the Hyrule Castle, The Castle of Aaaaarrrggh, and of course the most famous... Eureka's Castle.
Ireland is also filled with little creatures called Leprechauns. Many historians believe that leprechauns were in fact the first known 'Ballers' in history, and they have a fetish for gold which, at the time, had been unmatched by any other life form in the world. Today, modern day 'Ballers' have infact upgraded from the Gold fetish to the Platinum and Diamond fetish... and have formed a hybrid known as a 'Balla'
Also, modern day Ballas don't care much for Shamrocks.
Ireland is filled with Gingers. They're gross.
Ireland is also famous for the Blarney Stone. The Blarney Stone is a rock that you have to kiss while laying upside-down and risking your life, trying not to fall 5 stories off a castle to your death. While you're pretty safe nowadays from falling(see idiot fall cage below) it's still pretty risky. If you kiss the rock, you're suppose to have good luck for 7 bad years... or is that 7 years of bad luck if you cross a good black cat. Whatever you do, don't walk under a ladder in Ireland.
Next we have some of the famous people to come out of Ireland... We mineaswell start with the great great granddaddy of Ireland, Aruthur Guinness. Since we all associate Irish people with drinking beer and gettin drunk, this guy is like the high chief. Aruthur started Guinness Beer in Dublin, Ireland in 1759... and the country hasn't been sober since.
How about famous musicians... Or, should i say, the most famous band on planet earth. The beloved U2. I think Bono is like the President Ambassador of the World or something like that... Can you imagine if him and Angelina Jolie had a baby. I can't. That baby would be like the second comming of Baby Jesus.
It would heal the world.
Oh and then there's Snow Patrol. I know they're kinda famous... and i know i've heard their songs... but i just can't remember them... Isn't the lead singer guy married to Gwyneth Paltrow or something...? Or is that Coldplay? Whatever... same thing...
Oh and Actors! Liam Neeson! Hello! Star Wars! Well, ok... granted he was only in Episode 1 but still... Liam was also in Schindler's List. That was a good movie... Whatever Liam is just a cool name.
And then there's this James Bond. I forgot his name, Pierce Cowell Gervais or something...
And this jerk. I don't really know what the big thing is about him. He stands around and smokes his cigs with his ripped jeans and vintage t-shirts... his beanies and glasses... you're so cool, you're such a badass! "Hey world, i don't care how i look" lol Anyone remember that Family Guy episode? lolz.
Lastly, what would a Irish post be without mentioning HOUSE OF PAIN! OH crap... it's about to get CrAzY in this bLoG! If you don't know EVERY SINGLE WORD to this song, you didn't grow up in the early 90's...
